The International Jugglers' Association

Win on World Juggling Day at www.juggle.org

Jugglers of the world are being asked to unite for World Juggling Day 2008, a unique web-based initiative to highlight the wonders of object manipulation! The International Jugglers' Association presents the event on June 14, 2008, which will involve individual jugglers and juggling clubs around the globe. Other supporting sponsors are listed on the World Juggling Day web site (http://www.juggle.org/).
The event commemorates the founding of the International Jugglers' Association in mid June 1947. In past years, World Juggling Day has involved almost 5,000 participants from 20 countries representing all seven continents worldwide - including Antarctica!
Juggling groups and individuals worldwide are invited to plan for a World Juggling Day event and to register it to the World Juggling Day web site. Juggling clubs might sponsor a regional juggling festival, a teaching session in a school or park, a "Big Toss-Up," juggling games or media related juggling stunts. Individuals who want to participate can simply pledge to juggle in their home or yard on June 14, 2008.
As individuals and juggling clubs register their events, they are listed at the web site so that the world juggling community can watch the growth of the project.
Individuals may also register for WJD prizes. About 32 registrants will be selected at random to receive prizes such as juggling props, IJA memberships and juggling DVDs.
Boilerplate press releases are available on the web site that local groups can use to announce their planned participation locally.
The IJA hopes that regular promotion of the event in juggling periodicals, the incentive for prizes, and the chance to be a part of a worldwide juggling effort will lead to significant participation, and give jugglers everywhere a rallying point for their enthusiasm for the art.
