Michael Karas is the creator of Juggling Insanity, a web haven for new and experimental juggling. He's a seasoned performer and has released a number of videos. His 2006 IJA bronze-medal act shows his desire to fuse theater, dance and juggling into a coherent harmony. Michael concentrates on making juggling more dance-like and transitional. His club technique focuses on trapping and "spin-downsizing." Attend his class to find out what that's all about. Sean Blue is an artist, juggler and teacher from NYC (see seanblue.net). He has taught at circus schools in Finland, Sweden and Canada. In Sean's ring workshop you'll discover a broad spectrum of ideas, techniques and tricks from beginner to advanced, from manipulation to numbers. Experiment with shuffling, traps, satellites, origami, balances, rolls, slides, grinds, multiplexes, pancakes, flats, and anything else ring related. All skill levels and all varieties of rings are welcome. Jim Barlow has juggled for 22 years since discovering the Illini Juggling and Unicycle Club (and is still a member). He's an experienced teacher of many regional workshops. Jim is a student of juggling he has spent extensive time not only learning patterns and tricks, but also studying notations and principles behind them. He will bring many ideas to his class, and his students will leave with a solid base for learning, creating and extending their ball juggling skills. |
